ON BEING RICH

I’m walking down the street.  It starts to rain.  I go into a store and buy an umbrella and don’t have to worry about whether I will have enough money for food and rent, or that I already have 147 umbrellas at home.  In other words, I have no worries about having enough money to live on should I need money for an emergency.

That is my idea of being rich.  I don’t have to have a lot of money, drive a fancy car, or live in a mansion.  But I have enough money so that any unexpected expenses will not affect my budget.

Once upon a time in my life I was rich.  I’m looking forward to being rich again.
