Where did that come from?  My pencil took on a life of its own!  It did so while I had my thumb up my ass and my mind in Alabama.  (That expression is from my good friend Arnie who asks people who are daydreaming, “Have you got your thumb up your ass and your mind in Alabama?”)

Somewhere there is Doodle Place where doodles exist, but have no form.  When a doodle decides to take a form, it travels from Doodle Place to a pen or pencil of a person whose mind is in Alabama.  Doodles stay, wherever they took form, until they complete their mission.  Then they leave to return to Doodle Place where they rest awhile until it’s time for their next assignment.

Doodles come and go and come and go and come and go again.   Like us they have no beginning, and they have no end.
