A man preached a sermon on the northbound Yonge subway today during rush hour.  He went on and on about how Satan was controlling us, and how we needed to free ourselves from Satan’s grip if we wanted salvation. Blah, blah, blah.

No one looked interested.  The man preached to tired people on their way home from work and school.

I was going to ask the man, “Do these people look interested in being saved?”  But I chose to stay quiet and let him go on and on and on.  How could I reason with someone who decides to save the world during rush hour?

Is it a reflection on religion that it attracts so many nutty people?
