The Past Week said, “He is down.  He was supposed to earn some money through his creativity, but it did not happen.  He feels worthless.  He feels there is no point to his efforts.  But this is good for poverty.   Where would poverty be if it wasn’t for people like him?”

Today says, “He feels fantastic!  Nothing changed in his life except that he remembered perseverance; he remembered that his worth as a person is not determined by how much money he makes; he remembered that he had forgotten how happy he is; he remembered that he has to get up eight times when knocked down seven.”

I like what Today says.

You go on. You set one foot in front of the other, and if a thin voice cries out, somewhere behind you, you pretend not to hear, and keep going.”    – Geraldine Brooks
